The BBC has appointed two new leaders to senior roles based in the United States. Jen Brown joins as SVP of Programming and Content Strategy, Global Digital News & Streaming. She will be responsible for defining the wider content strategy for the BBC’s news and factual digital platforms outside of the UK. Brown will be based in New York, reporting directly to Jennie Baird, EVP & Managing Director, Global Digital News and Streaming. Saeed Ahmed joins as Head of Digital Journalism, US for BBC News, overseeing the company’s digital news content aimed at US audiences. Ahmed will be based in Washington DC and report to Stuart Millar, Digital Executive News Editor.

Cosmopolitan UK
There have been a number of new appointments on Cosmopolitan UK’s beauty team:
Hanna Ibraheem has been promoted to Acting Beauty Editor, covering Beauty Director Victoria Jowett’s maternity leave. Formerly Deputy Beauty Editor, Hanna will be overseeing the brand’s beauty output across all platforms.
Charlotte Bitmead has been appointed Acting Senior Beauty Writer across print and digital. Charlotte was previously Beauty and Grooming Writer at the Hearst Institute and is interested in hearing about any beauty news, product launches and events.
Elena Chabo has been appointed Beauty Writer across print and digital. Elena was previously Digital Writer at goodhousekeeping.co.uk and is interested in hearing about any beauty news, product launches and events
Lia Mappoura remains as Beauty Assistant at Cosmopolitan UK across print and digital, and Akesha Reid remains as Contributing Beauty Editor across print and digital.

Equity Report
Valeria Camerino, former European Editor at M&A-focused publication CTFN, has launched Equity Report, a UK-based financial news service which will be covering M&A, antitrust, and ESG issues.

Louise Lazell (@LouiseLazell) is now a Features Reporter for The Sunday People and Sunday Mirror. Louise joins the team from PA Media, where she was a Real Life Features Reporter, and prior to that role was a Senior Journalist at Essex Live.

Lewis Maddison has joined TechRadar Pro as Graduate Junior Writer. His coverage ranges from online security to the usage habits of B2B technology in both personal and professional settings. His main areas of interest lie in technology as it relates to social, political and economic issues around the world, and revels in uncovering stories that might not otherwise see the light of day.
