Lucy Sambrook is Founder and Editor of Align Magazine. A new business magazine - but not as you know it, Align will cover all things lifestyle through the lens of working for yourself, and how to find alignment between happiness and hustle. The team are based in Brighton/London and are interested in receiving any relevant local press releases including new co-working spaces, great remote working locations, wellness destinations and more, and are particularly interested in giving a platform to marginalised communities. The Blind Spot
Izabella Kaminska (@izakaminska), previously Editor of FT Alphaville, has launched The Blind Spot, a new media venture that aims to shine a light on stories being missed by the wider journalistic pack. The site focuses on finance, market and media news in both short and long-form. It will deliver a healthy mix of analysis-and opinion-led commentary, supported by aggregation, news reporting and deep-dives.

Kirsteen Paterson (@kapaterson), previously at The National and Sunday National, is now working at Holyrood magazine. Kirsteen is interested in stories on social justice, culture, politics, policy, communities, the environment and innovation.

The Independent
Tom Murray (@tom_murray3), previously Entertainment Editor at Insider, has joined The Independent as Senior US Culture Reporter. Tom is based in Los Angeles although he will be spending the next three months in London.

Insurance Times

Internews Europe
Internews has appointed journalist and academic Meera Selva as its new Chief Executive for Europe. Selva is currently Deputy Director of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, where she has led their flagship Journalist Fellowship Programme since 2017. She replaces outgoing Chief Executive Jodie Ginsberg, whose appointment as President of the Committee to Protect Journalists was announced earlier this year. Selva, who is currently a member of the Internews Europe board, will take up her new role in June 2022. Global Director of Impact, Rosie Parkyn, will act as interim CEO until her arrival.

Sophie Curtis (@scurtsy) has returned from maternity leave and resumed her role as Science and Technology Editor at MailOnline. Shivali Best (@shivalibest), who was covering for Sophie, has resumed her position as Deputy Science and Technology Editor.
