The i newspaper and the New Scientist are to become part of Harmsworth Media, a new division of Daily Mail and General Trust. Nina Wright, Chief Executive of the New Scientist, will become Chief Executive of Harmsworth Media, joined by Richard Thomson as Deputy Chief Executive. The i’s Editor-in-Chief Oly Duff will also be on Harmsworth Media’s board. The Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, and Metro are to remain part of DMGT’s existing media division, DMG Media.

Ashleigh Webber
(@ashleighlwebber) is now Editor of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Plus (OHW+) at DVV Media International. She remains HR and Wellbeing Editor for their title Personnel Today and takes over at OHW+ from Nic Paton, who is now a Consultant Editor.

Eamonn Holmes
will be joining GB News as a Presenter in the new year. Eamonn has been a Presenter on This Morning for 15 years and has previously worked at GMTV and Sky News.

The Guardian
The Guardian has announced three new appointments to its editorial newsletters team as part of an ongoing refresh around its newsletters offering:
Archie Bland will become Editor, Daily Newsletter, responsible for the writing and production of the Guardian’s daily current affairs newsletter. Most recently Archie was Joint Executive Producer of the Guardian’s flagship daily news podcast Today in Focus, and has been a Senior Reporter and Editor at the Guardian for seven years.
Hannah J Davies has been appointed Deputy Editor, Newsletters and will work across the Guardian’s complete newsletter portfolio, overseeing both content and development. Hannah has been the Guardian’s Deputy TV Editor for two years.
Craille Maguire Gillies also joins as Newsletter Production Editor, helping to improve curation and design. Craille has worked in production for the Guardian’s culture desk across news and features. Charlie Lindlar, previously an Opinion Editor at the Huffington Post, will cover as Newsletter Production Editor until Craille returns from maternity leave.
Archie moves into his new role early next year, while the Deputy Editor, Newsletters and Newsletter Production Editor are already in post.

Brad Gray
has been appointed as a Content Editor for HertsLive. Brad has spent the second half of this year as Regional Content Editor for Reach's titles in the South East and can continue to be contacted at the same email address. He can be found on Twitter @Brad_Gray_

Harriet Williamson
has been appointed Commissioning Editor for The Independent’s comment section, Voices. Harriet starts the role full-time on 4 January and can be found on Twitter @harriepw

Chidozie Obasi
has been appointed as Deputy Editor of ODDA magazine, working across all of its platforms. Chidozie’s career spans working across both Italy and the UK, and his work has appeared in the likes of The Guardian, The Observer, i-D (UK), Highsnobiety, Dazed Magazine, British GQ, The GQ Style, AnOther Magazine among others. In his new role Chidozie will be supported by Editor-in-Chief David Martin and Fashion Director, Georgia Tal. He will also be working closely on the features side with Vincent Perella, Digital Editor.

Red
Ciara McGinley
has been appointed Deputy Digital Editor at Red. Previously Digital Health Editor at woman&home, Ciara will be covering health, wellbeing and relationships. She is also interested in hearing about beauty, fashion, culture and interiors for the site. Ciara will be working with Digital Editor Francesca Rice, who joined the team in July from Good Housekeeping, where she was Deputy Digital Editor.
