Richard Burgess (@rburgessbbc) has been appointed permanently as Director of News Content for BBC News. Richard has been leading the News Content team on an interim basis since the start of 2022.

Hannah Watson, previously a Producer at the BBC’s Morning Live, is now Day Producer for Steph’s Packed Lunch. Hannah is looking for human interest stories, as well as interesting new products, beauty, health, fashion, food, consumer, pet, and travel stories.

Matt Wells (@matthewwells) has been appointed Executive Editor, EMEA, for CNN Digital Worldwide. Matt is based in London, where he was previously International Director of Global Programming and Alerting.

Dezeen
Benedict Hobson and Wai Shin Li have been appointed co-CEOs of Dezeen. They previously held the positions of Chief Content Officer and Chief Revenue Officer respectively. The announcement follows the unexpected death of Marcus Fairs, Dezeen's founder and former CEO and Editor-in-Chief, on 30 June.

DMGT Media
Lee Clayton (@LeeClayton_) will be returning to the Daily Mail in 2023 as Global Publisher of Sport, working across the UK, US and Australia. Lee worked at the Mail for 14 years before becoming Head of talkSPORT in 2018.

Food Matters Live
James Halliwell (@jameshalliwell) has started a new role as Business Editor at Food Matters Live. James joins the team from PRWeek, where he was News Editor.  

The Guardian
Dr Manisha Ganguly (@manisha_bot) will be joining The Guardian’s investigations team next month as a Correspondent. Manisha is a documentary filmmaker and her work has appeared on the BBC, CNN, The Telegraph, Bellingcat and more. In her role at The Guardian, Manisha’s focus will be on OSINT-led tech and human rights.

Louise Wilson (@louisewilso) has been appointed Political Editor at Holyrood magazine. Louise has been reporting for the title since 2020 and can continue to be reached at the same email address.

Ethan Ennals (@ennalsethan) has been promoted to Senior Health Reporter at The Mail on Sunday. Ethan has worked on the health desk since 2020.

Alicia Adejobi (@aliciaadejobi) has been promoted to Deputy Entertainment Editor at Metro.co.uk. Alicia, who has worked at the site for four years, can continue to be reached at the same email address.

Mary Goodsell (née O'Connell) has joined Sussex Living magazine as Assistant Editor, working across print and digital. She remains Editor-in-Chief at 365 Magazine, which from January will be rebranded to focus on health and lifestyle content nationally and not just the South East. Freelance Update - Blake Evans-Pritchard
Blake Evans-Pritchard (@blakerig) has just relocated from Hong Kong to Barcelona, Spain as a freelance journalist. Most recently he was Editor-in-Chief for InsuranceAsia News in Hong Kong. Prior to that he was Asia Bureau Chief for Risk.net. He spent a total of eight years in Hong Kong, covering finance across the region. He continues to write about Asian markets but is also seeking new freelance commissions about Europe, in particular regarding Spain or Portugal.
