Former EuroHedge Editor and Bloomberg Reporter Will Wainewright (@willwainewright) has launched Alternative Fund Insight, a new hub delivering interviews and insights in hedge funds and private markets. There is a weekly newsletter and twice-monthly podcast in addition to the AFI website.

BBC News has announced two new senior presenter roles; Jon Kay will become the new regular presenter on BBC Breakfast from Monday to Wednesday, effective immediately, and Victoria Derbyshire will become joint lead presenter on Newsnight, a role she’ll start permanently in September.

Julian Harris (@Hariboconomics) is now UK Business Editor at Bloomberg News, joining them from The Telegraph, where he was Associate Business Editor. Prior to The Telegraph Julian was at City A.M. for almost nine years.

Cosmopolitan
Harriet Hall (@harri_grace, @harri.grace) recently joined Cosmopolitan UK as Features Director across print and digital and can now be reached at her new email address. Harriet was previously Lifestyle Editor at The Independent and prior to that worked at Stylist and BBC News.

Daily Mirror
Saffron Otter (@SaffronOtter) has joined the Daily Mirror as a Features Writer. Saffron was previously Senior Weekend Content Writer at the Manchester Evening News and can continue to be reached at the same email address.

Dr Andrew Salerno-Garthwaite (@AndGarth) has joined GlobalData as a Senior Defence Reporter, covering geopolitical developments, defence strategy and military technology. He was previously Data Editor at Vogue Business and has also worked for the Financial Times.

ITV News
ITV News has announced Andrew Dagnell as the next Editor of Network News, effective 1 September. In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for all of ITV’s award-winning national news programmes, ITV News London, ITN-produced Tonight programmes, live specials and documentaries for ITV, and the award-winning website and livestream itv.com/news. Andrew, who joined ITV News in 2015, currently holds the position of Head of Newsgathering, where he is responsible for journalists across the UK and in ITV News’ international bureaus.

Alice Bird (@birrddiiee) has been appointed Senior Creative Producer at News UK, working across TalkTV as well as their other brands. Alice has worked for News UK for almost six years, most recently as Senior Video Producer (Features).
