Future Publishing 
Future Plc has published a new print title celebrating drag queens in popular culture. Edited by Darren Scott, who is also Editor of SFX, the magazine celebrates drag in music, films, television and stage - including legendary figures such as Lily Savage and Divine. Rhotic Media 
Rhotic Media has hired four new journalists. 

Alastair O’Dell will be joining the Institutional Finance team as a financial journalist on 12 July. He joins from PE Media Network, where he was Editor of Transition Economist and Hydrogen Economist. Prior to this, he was the Editor of Euromoney’s Global Investor Group between 2011 and 2017 and Features Editor of Pensions Insight and Engaged Investor before that. He will report to Team Leader Nick Reeve. 

Hannah Godfrey is joining the Retail Finance team on 19 July, reporting to Jenny Turton. Hannah joins from City A.M. where she covered professional services, insurance, property and retail. Prior to her work at City A.M., she was at Incisive Business Media as Deputy Editor of Retirement Planner and was also News Editor at Professional Adviser.

Ella Farmer and Niamh Smith are joining the Companies & Markets team under Rhotic Media’s award-winning degree apprenticeship programme as trainee financial journalists. They will both be working three days a week and studying for two days a week at London South Bank University. Their first day will be 16 August. Both will report to Simon Watkins, the newly promoted Team Leader of the Companies & Markets team.  

Scratch 
Emma Hobday, previously Freelance Beauty Writer at Slapp, has been appointed News & Features Writer at Scratch magazine. In this role, Emma will be creating newsworthy content across Scratch’s print and digital platforms to inspire, inform and educate professionals in the nail sector.

Natalie Cornish, Acting Digital Editor at Red, will be leaving the publication at the end of July to return to freelance. Alongside her role at Red, she has previously freelanced for The Sunday Times, ELLE and STYLIST, and will be available for shifts and commissions across women’s lifestyle, news and features. Her specialisms include SEO writing, content strategy, ecommerce, commercial copywriting and digital editing.
