The Athletic
Anthony Hay (@anthony_hay) has been appointed Deputy News Editor at The Athletic after two years as Staff Editor. Anthony will be helping to lead breaking news coverage and overseeing match blogs.

BarChick
Kate Malczewski (@katemalczewski) has been appointed Editor of BarChick. Kate was previously Digital Editor at The Spirits Business and has bylines in outlets such as VinePair, October, Squaremeal, Cocktail Lovers and Imbibe UK. She will continue with other freelance work.

Bauer Media
Rosie Evans (@rosie_d_evans) has been promoted to Deputy Commissioning Editor at Bauer Media, working across both that’s life! and Take a Break. Rosie was previously a Features Writer and can continue to be reached at the same email address. 

BBC Radio Scotland
Gordon Blackstock (@gordoblackstock) has joined BBC Radio Scotland as a Senior Journalist. He was previously Chief Reporter at the Sunday Mail, and has also contributed to various nationals as a freelancer.

Creature & Co.
Annabel Lever has been appointed Deputy Digital Editor at National Geographic Kids for the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. She will be covering kids’ content about animals, geography, science, nature, history, culture & eco news, plus parenting lifestyle content. Annabel was previously Editorial Assistant for National Geographic Kids magazine and will be covering for Digital Editor, Gemma Chandler, who goes on maternity leave next month.

dmg media
Sean Walsh has been appointed Global Chief Brand Officer and Managing Director of US Operations at dmg media. Sean will oversee all global communications for dmg media brands, including Mail Newspapers, MailOnline and DailyMail.com, as well as taking on additional responsibility for the day-to-day running of the US operation. He will be based in New York, but will also work across dmg media’s offices in London, Los Angeles and Sydney.

Escapism
Nick Savage is now Contributing Editor for Escapism on a freelance basis. Nick will be working on Escapism's website and digital channels, as well as contributing to Escapism's print section in sister title Foodism ahead of the relaunch of the standalone magazine later this year. Nick will be writing about luxury travel, outdoors and adventure travel, travel gear and apparel and destination guides.

The Handbook
Astrid Carter (@astridcarter) has been appointed Editor at The Handbook, which covers London lifestyle and events. Astrid was previously Deputy Editor and brings a wealth of experience in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle sector.
Lottie Woodrow succeeds Astrid as Deputy Editor. Lottie was previously Sub-Editor and Features Writer and will continue to cover food and drink, travel, culture and events news across the platform.

House of Coco
Hayley Rubery, blogger and influencer behind @frockmeimfamous, has been appointed Interiors Editor at House of Coco. Hayley will be leading interiors content across print, social and online.

MIT Technology Review
Rhiannon Williams has been appointed news reporter at MIT Technology Review. She writes the daily technology newsletter The Download and reports on interesting stories about humans' relationships with technology. Rhiannon joins the team based in London from the i newspaper, where she was technology correspondent.

Mollie
Lifestyle and crafts magazine Mollie Makes has been relaunched as Mollie. The monthly title from Our Media has a new design and a lifestyle focus across both its print and digital platforms.

Monocle
Natalie Theodosi (@natalietheodosi), previously News and Features Editor at WWD, is now Fashion Editor at Monocle. She can be reached via email.

The Press and Journal
Chris Cromar (@cromar_chris) is now a Live News Journalist at The Press and Journal. He joined the team from Public Sector Executive (PSE) magazine and will now be covering breaking news across North and North-East Scotland.

Freelance Update - Max Olesker
Max Olesker (@maxolesker), Features Writer and Associate Editor at Esquire magazine, is now also writing for The Nudge. He covers theatre, food and drink across London and would love to hear from restaurant, bar, and hotel PRs, as well as all PRs for all London theatres.
