The BBC has announced the appointment of Chris Mason as its new Political Editor. Chris has been Political Correspondent for BBC News for over 10 years, reporting from Westminster across TV, radio and online. He will start as Political Editor in May once Laura Kuenssberg stands down after the local elections.

The Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine relaunches this Saturday with a new look, including a new On Demand TV guide and a column from critic Sarah Vine. The redesigned supplement has a refreshed listings section with a total of 72 TV channels.

Adam Solomons (@adamsolomons5) has started as a Foreign News Reporter for MailOnline. Adam was a Consumer Reporter at The Sun before joining the MailOnline foreign desk, and prior to that was a News Reporter at the Daily Star.

Kimberley Bond (@kimberleybond94) is now a Features Writer at Metro.co.uk, joining them from Tyla. Kimberley covers long reads and investigative pieces on a wide variety of topics encompassing news, lifestyle and entertainment.

Reach plc
The Nuneaton and Warwickshire editions of the Coventry Telegraph have been ceased by Reach plc. The Coventry edition of the regional daily is still available, which will contain news from both Nuneateon and the wider Warwickshire area.

talkSPORT
talkSPORT has partnered with The Cricketer for a brand-new show on county cricket, starting 14 April. The show, Following On – County Cricketer, will showcase the best of the professional game across the 18 counties. The show will be presented by two-time County Championship winner, Steve Harmison and talkSPORT Cricket Editor Jon Norman, as well as The Cricketer’s George Dobell and Nick Friend. The show will be broadcast on talkSPORT 2, as well as on Steve Harmison’s YouTube channel and The Cricketer’s website. The audio will be available to listen to via talkSPORT’s Following  On podcast and clips will also be shared across talkSPORT’s social accounts.

The print edition of Time Out London will cease this summer as the brand becomes digital-only from the end of June. The magazine was launched in 1968 and has been free since 2012.
