The Financial Times has appointed Sam Fleming as its new Economics Editor and Chris Giles as Economics Commentator. Sam, Brussels Bureau Chief and former US Economics Editor for the FT, will take up his new role in London in October. Chris, who has been Economics Editor for 19 years, will launch a new weekly newsletter on central banks, and continue to write regular opinion articles for the FT.

Jenny Holliday (formerly Stallard) has been appointed Senior Features Editor at HR Grapevine, covering the Columns section as well as features and news. This is not a commissioning role, but PRs in HR, thought leaders and HR experts can send press releases and information about potential interviewees via email. Debbie Ramsay has been appointed as the new Editor of 5 News, joining from Channel 4, where she is Commissioning Editor for News and Current Affairs. Before Channel 4, Debbie worked at the BBC for 16 years. She starts the role in the autumn, taking over from Cait FitzSimons.

Future PLC
Robyn Morris is now working at Future three days a week as Celebrity Editor across Woman, Woman’s Own, Woman’s Weekly and woman&home magazines. She is covering Anna Matheson, who is now on maternity leave. PRs with celebrities available for interview can get in touch. Robyn is also still available for freelance commissions.

The Guardian
Nick Ames (@NickAmes82) has been appointed European Sports Correspondent at The Guardian, in what is a brand new role. Nick’s focus will remain on football, which he has covered for the paper since 2014, but he’ll pursue the biggest sports stories around the continent.

Zahra Fatima (@zahrafatimatv) was recently appointed Digital News Producer at ITN, after working as a Production Journalist for ITV News Central.

MyLondon
Anna Willis (@annawillis101) is now a Reporter at MyLondon. Anna joins the Reach title after almost two years at EssexLive and her email remains the same.

Katya Beadsworth, previously Account Manager at FleishmanHillard UK, is now External Communications Manager for Element Materials Technology.
