1919 
Gemma Fraser has been appointed Head of Content at 1919 magazine, a new justice and social affairs title for Scotland. Gemma, who most recently wrote for Holyrood magazine, has been published in The Mail on Sunday, The Times, The Sun and The Sunday Post as well as working for nine years in senior roles at the Edinburgh Evening News. She can be reached at via email or found on Twitter @gemmafraser10. 1919 will launch in June.

BBC Newsnight 
Ben Chu will be joining BBC Newsnight as Economics Editor in June. Ben, currently Economics Editor at The Independent, worked on the programme for a year from 2019 to early 2020. He can be found on Twitter @BenChu_

Channel 4 News 
Broadcaster and journalist Jon Snow has decided to step down from his role at Channel 4 News from the end of the year after 32 years at the helm of the flagship news programme. He will continue to work with Channel 4 in 2022. He will front longer form projects for Channel 4 and represent the Channel in other matters. 
 
Future plc 
After a 43-year career in magazines, including roles as Editor of Prima and Bella, Jayne Marsden, Lifestyle Content Director at Future's Women's Lifestyle vertical, is retiring. Charlotte Richards, formerly Group Specials Director, will take on the role of Lifestyle Content Director. Charlotte will oversee Lifestyle content strategy and manage the Beauty, Fashion, Health, Food and Lifestyle Features teams providing digital and print content for woman&home, Woman, Woman's Own, Woman's Weekly and Chat. Georgia Brown has joined HELLO! as a Junior Lifestyle Writer. Georgia, previously a Communications & Digital Marketing Manager, will cover beauty, food and drink, parenting and travel locations. She can be found on Instagram @geeleighbee

ITV Anglia 
Former BBC presenter David Whiteley is to join Becky Jago hosting ITV News Anglia, the flagship regional news programme for the East of England. David is joining the team as Jonathan Wills, who has been at ITV Anglia for 13 years, joins ITV Channel in Jersey. Until recently, David was working for BBC East in Norwich producing and presenting the current affairs programme ‘Inside Out’ as well as regularly appearing on ‘Look East’.

Newsquest 
Former Northern Echo Editor Hannah Chapman has been given the full-time position as Newsquest’s weeklies editor overseeing the Darlington & Stockton Times, Northern Farmer and Durham Advertiser series. She took on a part-time role as Times Editor last year. Contact Hannah via email or find her on Twitter @hannahcdst

The Tourism Media Group 
The newly-formed The Tourism Media Group has announced a licensing agreement with Think Travel Media Ltd. to publish the Where portfolio of media brands (including 1936 travel media brand Where London; VisitBritain and London & Partners’ official guide London Planner; and IN London – official luxury lifestyle magazine of London & Partners).
